Description

1950's Pie Traynor Single Signed Baseball, JSA/Beckett Gem Mint 10.
The first third baseman selected for Hall of Fame induction by the BBWAA, and the only man to steal home in an All-Star Game, Traynor served seventeen world-class seasons in the uniform of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Here we find a spectacular example of his autograph, applied to the sweet spot of an Official League Harwood baseball. Traynor's signature survives at 10/10 in bold black ink. There is a light top coating applied to the stellar signature, and the ball has toned somewhat. The orb is encased in a Beckett/JSA holder and has a small crack on one side. The autograph firm graded the autograph a perfect Gem Mint 10. Encapsulated by Beckett/JSA, Gem Mint 10 (Autograph Grade).
