    Description

1950's .400 Hitters Multi-Signed Baseball with Cobb, Hornsby, Williams. There's not a man alive today who ever recorded a two-for-five batting average in Major League play, but one pioneering early collector managed to track down five of them long before the "theme ball" tradition was popularized. It's the only such example known to the collecting hobby. Ty Cobb, Rogers Hornsby and Ted Williams each lay claim to his own side panel, while George Sisler and Bill Terry share the final quadrant.

The ball would be a one-of-a-kind treasure in any state of condition, but this specimen is a true beauty, earning 8/10 ratings for both autograph quality and the gleaming white appearance of the OAL (Harridge) ball that serves as their home. The experts at PSA/DNA add an extra half-point for the enormous visual appeal to conclude their assessment. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, NM-MT+ 8.5. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
