1949 St. Louis Cardinals Team Signed Baseball. It's always interesting to note that so many Cardinals' team signed baseballs from this era feature Marty Marion on the sweet spot instead of Stan Musial. This was probably due to his enormous popularity, on-field leadership, defensive prowess, 1944 MVP award, and the fact that he was the father of the player's pension plan. This OAL (Frick) ball displays Mr. Shortstop across the sweet spot, with three hall of Famers - Musial, Slaughter, and Schoendienst - settling for side panel billing. Twenty-five autographs in total average 9/10 in strength, while the ball is off-white. A really nice specimen. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
