Description

1947-48 Paul Waner Single Signed & Inscribed Baseball. The "bigger poison" has always been the tougher of the two poisons -- both on the field and in the autograph collecting universe. His career totals for hits and batting average were 3,152 and .333, respectively. He was also the 1927 N.L. MVP and drove his team to the World Series (but we know what happened there). Unfortunately, his premature passing in 1965 (at age sixty-two) left the hobby with a dearth of his prized penmanship.

Here we present a fantastic single of Big Poison on the side panel of a ONL (Frick) baseball. The panel to the left of the ONL stamping reads "From Paul Waner to Mr. Webster Best Regards." Meanwhile, the panel to the right of the ONL stamping is stamped "E.C. Johnson, Pres. Western League."

The ball exhibits only minor toning and the stamping is still very bold. Best of all, the autograph and inscription grade a 9/10 in strength. If you crave spectacular Hall of Famer singles, we have your poison. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
