1947-48 Jackie Robinson Single Signed Baseball. The first to integrate of the major sports was baseball. Branch Rickey needed to tab a man who could withstand the constant taunts and criticism flung at him. Jackie Robinson had the temperament and ability to excel on the field and keep things in perspective away from the game. Signed by Robinson during the early days of his big league journey is this slightly aged ONL (Frick) baseball. We have dated the baseball to 1947-48 given the stampings. Robinson penned his identity to a side panel as was customary for the trailblazer. A top coating has been applied to preserve the integrity of the autograph. We must report the penning has bled somewhat but still rates 6/10 in strength. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
