1946 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball with Honus Wagner. A dismal seventh place finish for the Bucs this season can do nothing to dampen the excitement any collector should feel when faced with an 8.5/10 signature from the man pictured on the hobby's most expensive card. The Flying Dutchman signs in on this toned OAL (Harridge) ball as a coach for the team he first represented in the final season of the nineteenth century. Among the twenty-three with him are fellow Hall of Famers Al Lopez, Frankie Frisch (9/10) and Ralph Kiner. Others who signed the ball, with a layer of shellac, are: Salkeld, Fletcher, Vinnie Smith (only years '41 and '46), Baker, Mackey, Wilkie, Hopper, Hallett, Ostermueller, Zak, Tate, Bissonette, Mackey, Davis, Anderson, Lanning and three more. Signatures average 8/10 to 9/10 in strength. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
