1946 Enos Slaughter Home Run Baseball #7 from The Enos Slaughter Collection. This ONL (Frick) baseball found the cheap seats when Enos Slaughter connected off Rube Melton in the eighth inning of the first game of a doubleheader July 14, 1946. The homer provided the margin of victory for the Cardinals - 5-3. A large black smudge may have been where Slaughter hit the ball. Our guess is the surface raises near the ball's stampings occurred from when it landed. "Enos Slaughter's Home Run Ball No. 7 Brooklyn 3 Cardinals 5 Off Macon Sun, July 14, 1946 Att. 35, 1946" is written on a side panel. We confirmed that Melton surrendered the long ball. Letter of provenance from Slaughter family.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
