    Description

1945 Chicago Cubs Team Signed Baseball. When the owner of Chicago's "Billy Goat Tavern" was asked to leave Wrigley Field during the 1945 World Series because of the stench of his pet, an outraged William Sianis declared, "Them Cubs, they ain't gonna win no more." Presented is the first team to suffer from the famous "Curse of the Billy Goat," the 1945 National League Championship Cubs. Twenty-four signatures average 8/10 on the provided ONL (Frick) ball, including Hack, Pafko, Grimm, Cavarretta, Johnson, Gillespie, Becker and more. One of the best exemplars we've encountered from this important Windy City edition. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, EX-Mint+ 6.5.
