    Description

1944 St. Louis Browns Team Signed Baseball. Between 1902 to 1953 the St. Louis Browns played in exactly one World Series. And this was the year. Led by All-Star shortstop Vern Stephens and his league leading 109 runs batted in and Nels Potter's nineteen wins, the Browns finally made it to the big dance after more than forty years. As fate would have it, the Browns faced their hometown rivals the St. Louis Cardinals at the big dance, losing four games to two. Still it was a true Cinderella season. The 1944 World Series was also the last World Series to date played entirely in one stadium. OAL (Harridge) baseball is signed by twenty-eight, including manager Mike Sewell, Jack Jakucki and Mike Kreevich, all on the sweet spot, plus Stephens and Potter. Signatures average 6/10. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
