1944 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball With Wagner. Honus Wagner lent his talents to future generations when he became a baseball coach following his Hall of Fame career. This ONL (Frick) baseball (twenty-seven signatures) is highlighted by the autograph of The Flying Dutchman. Most of the autographs fall into the 4/10 to 6/10 range, but Wagner's autograph would register in the 6/10 threshold. We dated the orb to 1944 because of the inclusion of Joe Vitelli who only played that one year in the bigs. Those who signed include: Al Lopez, Wagner, Davis, Elliott, Handley, Vitelli, Rescigno, Strincevich, Cucurullo, Roe, O'Brien, Dahlgren, Zak, Butcher, Camelli and more.
