    Description

1944 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball with Honus Wagner. Despite a war effort that robbed Major League Baseball of many of its top names, the 1944 Pirates still retained some superstar talent in its dugout during WWII, as this ONL (Frick) ball would attest. Twenty blue ink signatures decorate its surface, most notably the ageless buccaneer Honus Wagner, who shares a side panel with Hall of Famer Al Lopez. The autographs range from 7/10 to 9/10 with Wagner being right in the middle. Included are: Davis, Lopez, Camelli, Zak, Wagner, Coscarart, Dahlgren, Rescigno, Starr, Butcher, DiMaggio, Elliott, Frisch, Ostermueller, Russell, Sewell, O'Brien and three more. "Oct 26 1944" is written near the stampings. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.
