1944 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. Team balls from the war years are extraordinarily scarce, and this is far and away the finest of the four examples of this particular Yankee edition we have had the opportunity to present. Though many of the pinstriped greats had answered Uncle Sam's call, Hall of Famers Joe McCarthy and Paul "Big Poison" Waner appear, the latter exceptionally rare on a Yankees ball as the forty-two year old veteran made just one appearance for the team, the last game of his career. Other notables include Stirnweiss, Bonham, Turner, Lindell, Donald and Crosetti. Twenty-seven signatures appear in total, averaging a thunderous 9/10. OAL (Harridge). Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
