1943 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball from The John Mayeron Collection. The loss of Joe DiMaggio to the war effort couldn't slow down the mighty Yanks, who cruised to yet another World Championship in his absence this season. The offered Amateur League ball is signed by 28 of the champions in black fountain ink. Charles Wensloff signed on and his only common year with many of the players is 1943. Signatures average 7/10 to 8/10 with some being a notch below. The south panel's signatures are a bit lighter. Included are: McCarthy, Chandler, Dickey (light), Grimes, Knickerbocker, Etten, Bill Johnson, Byrne, Bonham, Schulte, Donald, Weatherly, Stirnweiss, Zuber, Russo, Borowy, Wensloff, Grimes and more.
