1942 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball.
For the second year in a row, the American League pennant resided at Yankee Stadium. The 1942 Yankees advanced to the Fall Classic before falling to St. Louis. Normally the words shellac and baseball are used in a negative light. This is one of the few times a top coating is actually a positive. This toned ball, with deep stampings, has a coating which protects the 8/10 to 9/10 signatures. The list of twenty-three includes: Gordon, Branch, Hemsley, Bonham, Hassett, Murphy, Breuer, DiMaggio, Ruffing, Dickey, Rizzuto, Crosetti, Gomez, Donald, Henrich, Borowy, Keller, Rolf and five more. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
