Description
1940's Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball. Impressive side panel inscription from the greatest name in baseball history makes this a treasure for any serious collector, particularly for those sharing the original recipient's name. In bold blue fountain pen ink, registering 9 on a 10 scale, the Bambino writes, "To My Pal Stevie From Babe Ruth." The ball's stamping has been lost to the aging process, and unusual abrasions cover much of the ball's surface beyond the inscription, though James Spence assures us that no writing ever existed other than that applied by Ruth. One can be assured that this is a genuine single. A black spot of ink at center of the inscription does no real harm.
