Description

1940 Cy Young Single Signed Baseball. The man whose name is synonymous with pitching excellence ranks right up there with Ruth and Cobb in terms of hobby essentials, but his singles are tougher to find than either of his inaugural Hall of Fame classmates'. This is quite a special one too, featuring a brief inscription from the sole member of the 500 Win Club: "May 18, 1940 from Cy Young." The legendary pitcher's black fountain pen ink survives at an average 7/10 boldness, and the OAL (Harridge) ball provides an attractive vintage patina. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
