Description

1940 Boston Red Sox Team Signed Baseball. In 1939, with the arrival of Ted Williams at the gates of Fenway, Major League Baseball would find two future 500 Home Run Club members sharing a dugout for the first time. This boldly autographed orb features splendid signatures from the second and fourth players to reach the mark, with Foxx a bona fide 10/10 and Williams just a point behind. Twenty-nine signatures appear on the OAL (Harridge) ball in total, with all but a few comparable in quality to the iconic Hall of Famers. These include Cronin, Grove, Doerr (light), coach Hugh Duffy, Dom DiMaggio, Cramer and more. A coating of shellac and some scattered surface wear are to be noted, but neither issue causes any significant visual concern. A great way to bring some top quality Red Sox Hall of Fame autographs into your collection with a single bid. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
