1939 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball.Update: A full LOA from SGC Authentic is included with this lot.
A season of great joy and sadness for the Bronx Bombers, who claimed their fourth consecutive World Championship but lost their stalwart first baseman to his terminal disease. This ONL (Frick) baseball was signed by the '39 Yankees sans Gehrig. The signatures average 8/10 to 9/10. A few errant stains can't take away from the stellar penmanship on the offered orb. The twenty-one black autographs include: Rosar, Jorgens, Ruffing, McCarthy, Sundra, Henrich, Crosetti, Rolfe, DiMaggio, Selkirk, Pearson, Murphy, Powell, Dickey, Donald, Gordon, Keller, Knickerbocker, Gomez, Chandler and Hadley. The original box is included. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
