1936-40 Mel Ott & Joe DiMaggio Signed Baseball. The date provided in this lot title matches the stamping format of the provided ONL (Frick) ball, thus strongly suggests that this pairing of autographs from the New York Giants and their cross-river rivals the New York Yankees dates to a Fall Classic meeting between these two Big Apple powerhouses in either 1936 or 1937. The primary appeal of the ball is a brilliant 8/10 black fountain pen signature from Ott that displays alone on a side panel, mimicking a five-figure single. DiMaggio is 2/10 on the sweet spot.
