It's neither the most comprehensive nor the most beautiful of spheres deriving from this most consequential foreign excursion of Big Leaguers, but the cast of signers--Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Connie Mack, Lefty Grove, Mickey Cochrane and Al Simmons--makes it a treasure nonetheless. The signatures and the stamping of the ball are tough to make out (Ruth and Mack are the strongest), but we see this as a glass half-full for collectors who always dreamed of bringing these names into their collections.
