1933 Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Dual-Signed Baseball. Though the notation is in an unknown hand, we have no reason to doubt the "July 18, 1933" text applied to this "Amateur League" sphere, suggesting the ball was autographed at Yankee Stadium by a fan on hand to watch the Bombers defeat the White Sox nine to four. Ruth and Gehrig, who each supplied an RBI to the effort, claim their standard positions on the sweet spot and western panel respectively, their fountain pen ink as bold as the date of its application. A bit of surface wear affects a few letters of Ruth's signature, but the Iron Horse is untouched. In the absence of this minor distraction, this ball soars past $20,000 with ease.
