Description
1933 American League All-Star Team Signed Baseball. Thrilling relic recounts the outrageous assortment of American League legends that convened at Chicago's Comiskey Park to participate in the inaugural All-Star Game, arguably the most talent-packed team ever assembled on a single diamond. Highlighted with a sweet spot signature from Babe Ruth (small chip affects final letter), who gave fans their money's worth with the delivery of the Midsummer Classic's first long ball, this OAL (Harridge) ball features nineteen bold black fountain pen autographs averaging 8/10 in strength. Other notables include Gehrig, Lazzeri, Foxx, Simmons, Collins, Cronin, Dickey, Grove, Rick Ferrell, Averill, Gehringer, McCarthy (light) and even National League manager John McGraw. That's fourteen Hall of Famers! A coating of shellac has provided the ball with a deep tobacco tone but has served its purpose of autograph maintenance admirably. A top-tier artifact from one of the most significant single events in twentieth century baseball. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.Auction Info
