Description

1932 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. The last World Series appearance for the great Babe Ruth was also arguably his most famous, highlighted by his apocryphal "Called Shot" in the third game. As usual, Ruth (8/10) claims the sweet spot role on this lightly shellacked OAL (Harridge) ball remembering the World Championship Yanks. Twenty-three other signatures include Gehrig (9/10), Lazzeri (8/10), Ruffing (6/10), Dickey (7/10), Combs (8/10), Crosetti (2/10), and even the rare Eddie Bennett (8/10), the hunchbacked batboy that Ruth considered his personal lucky charm. Signature quality trends much more strongly toward the high end of the scale, with just one panel (thankfully free of any Hall of Famers) fairly light, and the rest remarkably strong for the age. A magnificent keepsake from the last great Murderer's Row squad. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication. Guide Value or Estimate: $5,000 - $8,000.
