    Description

1931 Philadelphia Athletics Team Signed Baseball. A World Series Game Seven loss to the St. Louis Cardinals denied the Mack Men what would have been the first World Championship three-peat ever orchestrated, but this American League Championship team still retains to this day the highest regular season winning percentage in franchise history (.704).

OAL (Barnard) baseball with blue and red stitching is signed by twenty-four, including all of the starters and players who were with the club for the entire year. Hall of Famers in appearance include Lefty Grove, Waite Hoyt, Al Simmons (sweet spot), Mickey Cochrane, and Jimmie Foxx. Others include George Earnshaw, Rube Walberg, Roy Mahaffey, Max, Bishop, Dib Williams, Jimmy Dykes, Bing Miller, Mule Haas, Joe Boley, Doc Cramer, Eric McNair, Jim Peterson, Hank McDonald, Johnnie Heving, Joe Palmisano, Lew Krausse, Jimmy Moore, Phil Todt, and Eddie Rommel.

The ball was handled and used after it was signed and the white portion has turned to a dark gray. Furthermore, there are areas of the sphere where the covering is gone and the interior of the ball is exposed, affecting some signatures (Grove and Cochrane slightly; half of "Foxx"). Overall, the signatures grade 5/10. Still a fantastic assembly from a team that will never go out of style. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
