1931 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. The second great Connie Mack dynasty was able to accomplish the uncommon feat of denying the Bronx its requisite American League flag in 1931, but make no mistake--this was one of the finest assemblies of talent ever to wear the pinstripes. No fewer than eight Hall of Famers appear among the twenty-two signatures applied to the provided OAL (Barnard) sphere: Ruth, Gehrig, Lazzeri, Pennock, Combs, Dickey, Ruffing, Sewell. The Babe and the Iron Horse are the boldest of the bunch at 8/10 and 7/10 respectively, with Lazzeri and Dickey not far behind, but many of the others strain the eye, earning an overall rating of 3/10 from the experts at PSA/DNA. The ball itself garners an identical grade. But if this ball had Ruth and Gehrig alone in the condition we find here, the price tag would be solidly five-figures. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, VG 3. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
