1931 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. Babe Ruth appears on the sweet spot with Lou Gehrig and Bill Dickey on the side panel to his immediate left, Lefty Gomez to the right, and Tony Lazzeri and Earle Combs above. Others of note include Hoag, Lary, Chapman, Cooke, Byrd, Reese, and Weaver. The ink autographs grade an overall 5.5/10. The ball is inscribed "July 4th 1931, Yanks vs. Washington" over the league stamping.

This game is significant in that it represents the first time that The Star Spangled Banner was sung at a baseball game after it officially became the United States of America's national anthem the day before by way of a congressional resolution.

OAL (Barnard) ball has aged to a brownish tone, and exhibits a textured surface due in part to the shellac which was applied to preserve the autographs. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
