1930 St. Louis Cardinals & Umpires Signed World Series Game Used Baseball. OAL (Barnard) sphere is signed by eight National League champion Cardinals, including Sunny Jim Bottomley, Jesse Haines, Gabby Street, Flint Rhem, Hi Bell, Ernie Orsatti, Jim Lindsey, and George Watkins. The panel which was originally signed by the four umpires - Harry Geisel, George Moriarty, John "Beans" Reardon and Charles Rigler - has since faded and only remnants of their signatures and the word "umpires" remains. Meanwhile, the inscribed panel reads: "World Series, Phil vs Card, Oct. 8, 1930, Phil 2 Card 0." Note: The game to which that inscription refers was actually played on 10/6. Also there is some additional writing over the league stamp. Despite its distractions, this is still a rare relic from the Fall Classic battle between Mack's Men and the soon to be Gashouse Gang featuring three HOFers in overall 6/7 strength. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
