Description

1930's Jimmie Foxx Single Signed Baseball. "Double X" was a constant threat to take home a Triple Crown, leading the league in one of the categories nine times, and in 1933 he definitely found his stroke. His .356 average, fifty-eight home runs and 169 RBI were all good enough for a Triple Crown victory. Lifetime, he owns a solid .325 average with over 2,600 hits and nearly 2,000 RBI. He was the second man to join Babe Ruth in the 500 Home Run Club, ringing up 534 over his twenty years. Called "Beast" by some, it takes no imagination to know why, with numbers like these.

The offered lot is a rare opportunity to add a single signed Foxx baseball to your collection, inscribed upon an OAL (Harridge) ball. The ball shows heavy wear and some stains, but displays incredibly with a bold 8.5/10 signature on the sweet spot. The wear on the ball suggests it is possible it is game used, but either way, it would be hard to improve upon the signature. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
