    Description

1930 Babe Ruth Single Signed & Inscribed Baseball.

UPDATE: Please note that this is an ONL (Heydler) baseball, and that the notation above his autograph is NOT in Babe Ruth's hand.

The OAL (Barnard) baseball on offer here was signed and inscribed by the Bambino in Spring Training, just eleven days after he inked his historic new contract, which made him the highest paid athlete player of all-time. Neatly signed on the sweet spot, Ruth added the following inscription on the panel above: "St. Petersburg, March 19th, 1930, Florida." While the ball displays browning and scuff marks, the autograph displays at 7.5/10 (with slight fading on the top of the "a" and the middle of the "h"), while the inscription is a solid 8/10.

Babe more than earned his lofty paycheck in 1930, finishing the season, at age thirty-five, with another Ruthian stat line: 150 runs, forty-nine home runs, 153 RBI, 136 walks, and a .359 average. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
