Description

1929-32 Ed Wells Game Worn Cap. In four seasons of pinstriped service, the former Tigers southpaw posted a record of thirty-seven victories against twenty defeats, though it certainly helps when you have an arsenal of sluggers like Ruth and Gehrig to help you out. The classic navy cap presents marvelously eight decades after its use, soft and supple to the touch from action and age. The interior leather headband is attributed to Wells with neatly embroidered script, which adds the "6 3/4" size designation. Prewar Yankees uniform pieces are incredibly scarce and desirable, and this perfectly preserved artifact should be destined for a place of honor in one fan's trophy room. LOA from Lou Lampson.
