Description

1929-31 Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball. He led the American League in both home runs and slugging percentage during each of the three seasons that this particular stamping format of OAL (Barnard) baseball saw action, so it's safe to say that the original autograph seeker found the Babe in his prime. Typically the finest Ruth singles derive from the years of his retirement from the sport he dominated, but this specimen bucks that trend in welcome fashion, a playing-days model with a marvelously bold sweet spot autograph.

We'd rate his black fountain pen ink a solid 7/10, and the ball itself is lightly and evenly toned with clearly legible stamping. We'll always love the two-tone stitched Ruth singles most of all, and this beauty should illustrate why. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
