Description

1928 Philadelphia Athletics Team Signed Baseball. While the back-to-back World Championship seasons were still a year away from their start, the '28 A's remain a tremendously collectible squad due to the outrageous collection of Hall of Fame talent found in their dugout. A young Jimmie Foxx and veteran hurler Lefty Grove would be part of those future Series victories, but the road would come to an end this season for legends Ty Cobb and Tris Speaker. All four of these Hall of Famers appear among the nineteen visible autographs on this OAL (Barnard) ball, with three of them rating at least 7/10 in boldness. Cobb is a very faint but discernible 1.5/10. The balance of the autographs run the gamut from 1/10 to 8/10, mainly due to scuffing of the ball that has worn away the vintage ink. Certainly not a pristine specimen, but the opportunity to own playing-days autographs from some of the game's ultimate icons. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
