1928 New York Yankees Partial Team Signed Baseball.

UPDATE: Please note that this lot is accompanied by a Full LOA from PSA/DNA.

The Murderer's Row Yankees were at their absolute height at the time this sphere was passed around the Bronx clubhouse, in the midst of back-to-back World Series sweeps and record-shattering offensive production. The thirteen signatures which grace the OAL (Barnard) horsehide are protected with a thin layer of top coating. Sluggers Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig may be viewed from the same angle. The Bambino (skipping on 7/10 signature) is rightfully reserved for the sweet spot while Gehrig plays second fiddle on a side panel just below. Signatures range from 7/10 to 9/10 and include: Thomas, Bengough, Hoyt, Johnson, Paschal, Combs, Durst, Pipgras, Pat Collins, Shealy and Coveleski. The JSA letter explains: "The entire label peel exhibits unexplained abrasions, although no signature removal is evident." Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
