The fabled Murderer's Row continues to stand as the World Championship squad by which all others are judged, a force so dominant that many believe the National League Champion Pirates secretly conceded defeat before the first Fall Classic pitch had even been thrown. A study of the names that adorn this OAL (Johnson) ball gives reason for the Bucs' pessimism, as we find Ruth, Gehrig, Pennock, Hoyt, Combs and Shocker among the nineteen signatures present. Heavy surface wear has compromised signature strength considerably, but we'd consider this an attractive opportunity to bring the most celebrated team in baseball history into your collection at a price well below the industry standard.
