    Description

    A Murderer's Row masterpiece!

1927 Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig Dual-Signed Baseball. Only during the fabled 1927 "Murderer's Row" season did Ban Johnson's presidential facsimile signature join scripted "American League Ball" stamping on official Junior Circuit horsehide, assuring the finest vintage possible for this essential autograph pairing. Even in the absence of this chronological positioning, the ball would rate among the top Ruth/Gehrig balls in the hobby, Ruth's sweet spot offering applied with 8/10 black fountain pen boldness. Gehrig is equally strong to the west, and positioned close enough to allow for simultaneous display, an uncommon blessing.

The ball itself is a beauty, with bold stamping and only a minor degree of soiling and age toning. Together Ruth and Gehrig clubbed 107 home runs this World Championship season, claiming the new single season record and the American League MVP respectively. Few pieces we've encountered commemorate that remarkable season quite as well as this one. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
