1923 New York Giants Team Signed Baseball. A third consecutive National League Championship for the Polo Grounds residents, who for the third time met their former tenants the New York Yankees in the World Series, falling to the pinstripers as their first of twenty-seven Fall Classic victims. Signed by the bulk of the team is this ONL (Heydler) baseball. Twenty-six signatures grace the horsehide, which includes a layer of shellac. Most autographs average 7/10 with a few dipping below. Taking top honors is the rare penning of Ross Youngs. The west panel, which includes Youngs' signature, does have a scuff mark which impedes his autograph. Included are: Travis Jackson, Barnes, Scott, Gaston, Gowdy, Bentley, Groh, Ryan, Bancroft, Maguire, Frisch, Stengel, High Pockets Kelly, Johnson, Huntzinger, Nehf, Youngs, Watson, Shinners, Meusel, Cunningham, McQuillan, Gearin, Snyder, O'Connell and Dolan. We deduced the vintage to '23 because the only common year of Stengel and Gearin was that season. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
