1922 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with Ruth and Home Run Baker. Though it was Baker who held the "Home Run" moniker, he was quoted in November of 1921 as saying of the Babe, "I hope he lives to hit one-hundred homers in a season. I wish him all the luck in the world. He has everybody else, including myself, hopelessly outclassed." Presented is one of the very few team balls bearing the signatures of both long ball artists, dating to the second of two seasons Baker and Ruth shared a dugout. The OAL (Johnson) ball bears twenty-six signatures from the American League Champs, signed as a glorious new ballpark rose from the grounds directly across the Harlem River from their Polo Grounds rental.

Ruth's rare and desirable early autograph format rates 8/10 on the sweet spot above Bob Meusel's, while Baker is minimally affected by a slice in the ball's leather but is otherwise 9/10 in strength. Other notables include Hoyt (6/10), Huggins (1/10), Pipp, Dugan, Ward, Witt, Mays, Bush and more. Signatures average 4/10. An exceedingly rare Yankee vintage, just the third we've ever handled. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
