1918 Chicago Cubs Team Signed Baseball. The Chicago Cubs won eighty-four games and the National League pennant in 1918, before bowing to Babe Ruth and the Red Sox in the World Series. This ultra scarce Spalding ONL (Tener) sphere is signed by twenty-five members of the Cubs team. Most of the autographs are faded and require a video spectral comparator to view. A few are still legible, including Bob O'Farrell, Fred Merkle, Lefty Tyler, Turner Barber, Tommy Clarke, Claude Hendrix, Charlie Hollocher and Otto Knabe. The league stamping remains incredibly bold.
