Description
1916-17 Washington Senators Team Signed Baseball. This two-year style OAL (Johnson) baseball is extremely hard to find. This particular exemplar is signed by fifteen Washington Senators, including Hall of Famers Walter Johnson (sweet spot) and Sam Rice, plus Clyde Milan, Patsy Gharrity, John Henry, Jim Shaw, Bert Gallia, Ray Morgan, George McBride, Eddie Foster, Doc Ayers, and Howard Shanks. From 1916-17, The Big Train averaged twenty-four wins, 208 K's, and an anemic 2.04 ERA. The ball has toned and there are some blemishes which have worn through the horsehide. Still, the league stamping is very prominent. The ink autographs grade an overall 2/10 in strength. While Johnson has faded, he is still readily decipherable. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.Auction Info
