Last chance before his Cooperstown induction!

2004 Derek Jeter Playoffs Game Worn & Signed New York Yankees Batting Helmet--Photo Matched.

UPDATE: This helmet has been matched to nine postseason games, with a home run.

A few months from now, the Baseball Hall of Fame will welcome into its fold one of the most beloved figures in the long and illustrious history of Big Apple baseball, its author occupying the number six position for career hits compiled during two decades of pinstriped service. It's such a remarkable achievement that it's easy to overlook the fact that Jeter effectively played a twenty-first season over that long tenure, appearing in 158 postseason games with 734 plate appearances and 650 at bats. Though his regular and postseason batting averages differ by no more than a single point, Captain Clutch slugged over twenty-five points higher under the game's brightest spotlight, burnishing his reputation as a Yankee hero.

Presented is a helmet worn by the 2020 first-ballot Hall of Famer during the 2004 postseason, and quite likely for some regular season action as well. Solid wear is evident, with classic "NY" logo and number "2" on the crown and visor respectively, and MLB logo and number "2" decals on rear. Interior sticker reads "7.14," which we interpret to mean size 7 1/4. Visor is autographed in 9/10 silver sharpie and notated in Jeter's hand, "04 Playoffs Game Used." Helmet is sourced from Steiner Sports, the official marketing company for all New York Yankees game used gear. COA from Steiner Sports. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph). LOA from Resolution Photomatching.
