1985 Phil Niekro Single Signed 300th Victory Game Used Baseball. A victory against the Toronto Blue Jays on October 6, 1985 earned the future Hall of Fame knuckleballer entry to the illustrious 300 Win Clubhouse while simultaneously establishing Niekro, at age forty-six and 188 days, as the oldest man ever to pitch a shutout (since bested by Jamie Moyer). Niekro didn't throw his knuckler until the final batter, former American League MVP Jeff Burroughs. Presented is a battle-weary OAL (Brown) ball from that historic game, exhibiting solid use and autographed in 10/10 blue ballpoint on the sweet spot with a "300 10-6-85" notation. Letter of provenance from umpire Dave Phillips. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
