    Description

1984-85 Nolan Ryan Game Worn Houston Astros Jersey. Perhaps no fashion statement in baseball history has evoked such a strong show of emotion as this unforgettable Astros style. Some adore it, others fear their eyes might bleed at its hideousness. But even those among us who believe that it was pure folly to stray from baseball's time-honored home whites and road greys couldn't possibly deny the appeal of this historic shirt, worn by the hard-throwing Texan during a stretch that saw him dominate the opposition.

Ryan notched plenty strikeouts in front of the home crowd when he donned this "Goodman & Sons size 44" pullover. The white knit has a rainbow array of colors which decorate the shoulder region. "Astros" and a star are incorporated into the front while "Ryan" is arched to a tightly cropped nameplate above the reverse numbers. The jersey shows good overall use with fraying to the anchor stitching and light rippling on the back numbers. A Goodman & Sons tag is sewn in the tail. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
