1961-67 Hank Aaron Game Used Home Run Bat. The presented Adirondack Big Stick 63A comes to us with a letter from a Braves staffer, attributing use to one of Hammerin' Hanks 755 career homers. Most Aaron bats that come to market tend to be from the closing seasons of his career, but this beautiful lumber derives from the meaty heart of it, a stretch that saw him average thirty-seven long balls and 114 RBI's a year. Number "44" appears in fading vintage marker on the knob and barrel end. Length of thirty-five inches and weight just under thirty-two ounces matches Aaron's preferred specs. It must be noted that John Taube has characterized the bat as simply game prepped by Aaron, rather than one that actually saw action, establishing a GU 5 rating from PSA/DNA, the top mark possible for a bat lacking game use. Letter of provenance from Milwaukee Braves employee. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 5.
