1960's-90's Hall of Fame Signed Index Card Collection Lot of 340+. In the most expansive index card collection we have ever seen, we encountered literally hundreds of signatures of players in the Hall of Fame, both old-timers and more contemporary heroes. While the cards were generally signed in the 1960's to 1990's, the playing eras of these ballplayers goes back to the 19th century. Every signature in this lot is the cream of the crop - the players enshrined in Cooperstown.

Each signature is accompanied by another card listing the player's full name, nickname, date of birth, date of death, debut year, team, the original collector's Sabermetrics (runs produced, home runs, games played, wins, saves, etc.), and the history of obtaining that index card. Whenever possible, these were obtained through the mail. If the player was deceased or impossible to get through the mail, the cards were purchased and the price paid is shown on the accompanying card.

Cards are usually signed in ballpoint pen, although some are marker and some are pencil or fountain pen. A few are on 3x5" photocopied photographs or have an accompanying photo pasted on the card.

Among the players in this lot are: Hank Aaron, Roberto Alomar, Luis Aparicio, Luke Appling, Richie Ashburn, Earl Averill, Ernie Banks, Al Barlick, James "Cool Papa" Bell, Yogi Berra, Max Carey, Nestor Chylack, Earle Combs, Jocko Conlan, Stan Coveleski, Joe Cronin, Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey, Urban "Red" Faber, Elmer Flick, Whitey Ford, Frank Frisch, Lefty Gomez, Joe "Flash" Gordon, Hank Greenberg, Burleigh Grimes, Lefty Grove, Chick Hafey, Jesse Haines, Bucky Harris, Gabby Hartnett, Carl Hubbell, Travis Jackson, Sandy Koufax, Ernie Lombardi, Ted Lyons, Mickey Mantle, Rube Marquard, Willie Mays, Joe McCarthy, Joe Medwick, Satchel Paige, Sam Rice, Red Ruffing, Tom Seaver, George Sisler, Ray Schalk, Lloyd Waner, Zack Wheat, Ted Williams and many more. Well over 340 cards in all, with over 135 different names included. See online description for a full list of names and quantities.

Incredible lot for a dealer to break up, or for a collector on a mission like the original consignor... to obtain a signature from every baseball player who appeared in a Major League game. This lot would likely cost thousands of dollars to build piece by piece. Due to the size of this lot, no third party authentication paperwork will be provided.
