1951 Mickey Mantle & Others Signed World Series Program. At first glance, this 1951 New York Yankees vs. New York Giants World Series program appears to just be a low grade copy worth a hundred bucks at the most. The edges are blackened, creases are scattered across both sides, and the pages are attached but slightly loose (one taped inside). Nothing too special. Then comes page 13, and there is a nice Bill Dickey signature followed by a few common signatures on the score card page. Still, nothing too great... er... until page 37 pops up with a stunning rookie year vintage Mickey Mantle signature! Considering Mantle got injured early in the series, it is likely this was signed during the very first game and there can't be more than a few out there, if any others even exist. Add to that these other significant signatures: Gil McDougald, Jerry Coleman, Bobby Brown, Phil Rizzuto, Johnny Mize, Johnny Sain Johnny Hopp, Ralph Houk and more. All are signed in either red or blue ball point pen in 8-10/10 quality. Beauty is truly on the inside on this stunning program!
