1950's-80's Baseball Team Issue and News Photographs Lot of 2,400+. Voluminous archive of original baseball photographs derives from the personal collection of a former sportswriter who covered games over a three-decade period beginning in the 1950's. This is an actual working library, issued in publications and often bearing editorial markings, notations and stamping on reverse and various other alterations resulting from use and filing. The vast majority appear in either 7x9" or 8x10" format, though a small percentage is smaller. Condition ranges from VG to EX-MT. All the great names of the period can be found within, with portrait and action shots featuring the likes of Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron, Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente, Sandy Koufax, Al Kaline, Bob Gibson, Ernie Banks, Nolan Ryan, Pete Rose, Mike Schmidt, George Brett and many, many more. Enormous "break down" value here for the intrepid salesman, or the foundation of an invaluable reference library for the serious baseball historian.
