    Description

1929 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. Presented here is a tribute to the silver medalists of the American League in 1929 who battled bravely but were unable to overcome Mack's thundering herd of White Elephants to the southwest in Philadelphia.

Autographed by twenty-six Bronx Bombers in black steel-tip fountain pen, including Hall of Famers Babe Ruth (clubhouse format), Lou Gehrig (large and bold on the panel above the Barnard stamp), Tony Lazzeri, Waite Hoyt, and even Leo Durocher! Others include Bob Meusel, Mark Koenig, Dusty Rhodes, George Pipgras, Tom Zachery, Ben Paschal, Sam Byrd, Lyn Lary, Arndt Jorgens, George Burns, Cedric Durst, Benny Bengough, John Grabowski, Myles Thomas, Hank Johnson, Fred Heimach (twice), Gene Robertson, Ed Wells, Liz Funk, and batboy Eddie Bennett.

This sphere has aged gracefully over the years to a light cream color and the blue league stamping remains bold and beautiful. The autographs grade an overall 5/10 in strength with Gehrig grading a 7/10. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
