    Description

1927 Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball. We can see the presidential facsimile signature well enough to identify it as Ban Johnson, who was only paired with the scripted "American League Ball" stamping format for a single season--and what a season it was! Ruth's sixty home runs set a new Major League standard, and Murderer's Row sent the Pittsburgh Pirates to the morgue in four straight World Series games. Ruth's signature has faded to about a 3/10, but it's still readily legible, as are the desirable quotation marks around his famous nickname. Ball shows considerable handling wear, but the enormous appeal survives intact. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
