Very Rare 1929 Leader Novelty Candy Co. "Baseball Stars" Original Box and Envelope. What is more exciting than a baseball card from an obscure issue that little is known about? The original box the cards came in! This box measures 2-1/8 x 3-1/4 x ½" and is titled "Baseball Stars." One side panel promises "Candy and Baseball Star" contents while the back has a box exchange offer for 100 to 500 boxes one would receive a Baseball, Tennis ball up to "A large aluminum "Zep." We assume a "Zep" is a metal Zeppelin airship toy which were all the rage in the late 1920's and 1930's. The Leader Novelty Candy Co. Inc. name is along the bottom. The box may be empty but the condition is "like new." There is barely any hint of handling or age, easily NM/MT. Also included is a 5-1/2 x 3-1/2" tri-color envelope from 1937 with baseball game graphics for "Home Run Candy Toy" Grand Contest. Consumers saved letters for various prizes, envelope has tear to flap but otherwise VG condition. .

I am completely satisfied, more to the point, absolutely ecstatic, about not only the proceeds but the wonderful professional manner every aspect of my little consignment was handled.
