Description

Early 20th Century Empty Cracker Jack Box. Offered is a rare Depression-era Cracker Jack box, empty and missing its top lid, with a tear at the right-center front, wrinkling to the left panel, and a rip running down the middle of the right panel. Even with the wear, it still carries that unmistakable ballpark spark, because Cracker Jack is not just an old brand name on cardboard, it is the snack immortalized in baseball's most famous singalong, the 1908 song "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," with its legendary call to "Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack." That link to the seventh-inning stretch has kept the brand tucked firmly into the public's memory for well over a century, giving this battered survivor a little extra charm every time you look at it.
